Euro Millions — this is the European interethnic lottery, launched on February 7, 2004 by the French lottery Fran & ciseilise des Jeux, the Spanish Lottery Loter í as y Apuestas del Estado and the company Camelot from Great Britain.
The first edition was held on Friday, February 13, 2004 in Paris.
First only the Great Britain, France and Spain participated in the lottery.
But from October 8, 2004 to the drawing Austria, Belgium, the Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland joined in.

Regulations:

• Days: Tuesday and friday
• Time: 20:45 (UTC / GMT +1)
• Ticket price: € 2 or £ 2 or CHF3 (bonus lines vary by region and currency)
• all winnings, including the jackpot, are not taxed (except for Switzerland, Spain and Portugal since 2013) and are paid in a one-time amount.

Rules of drawing:

• the main result consists of five balls (with numbers from 1 to 50)
• two balls are selected as a bonus (with numbers from 1 to 12)

Restrictions:

• participants who are over 18 years of age (in the UK 16 years old)
• the residents of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are allowed to play

Distribution of profits:
In the UK, the total profit of the Euro Millions lottery is distributed as follows:

• 0.5% — profit organization Camelot;
• 4.5% — operating costs;
• 5% — commission to ticket sellers
• 12% — state fee;
• 28% — charity;
• 50% — winners.
